However, if you want to claim a rebate through Medicare, a referral letter and accompanying Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist is required prior to meeting for a Medicare rebate being provided

A Medicare rebate is only available through Medicare’s Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. Please discuss eligibility with your General Practitioner or Psychiatrist. A written referral letter and accompanying Mental Health Care Plan is required prior to attending your first appointment.
A standard 50-60 minute consultation is $195.00. This fee is substantially lower than the recommended fee of $311.00 which is set by the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Leonard is registered with Medicare as a specialist provider of Clinical Psychological services and eligible clients receive the highest level of Medicare rebates available for a 50+ minute consultation (rebate = $141.85).
For eligible clients, up to 10 psychological consultations are currently accessible per calendar year (Jan-Dec).

A substantial proportion of your consultation fee may be reclaimed through various private health funds. If you would like to know the exact rebate amount, please check with your health fund regarding eligibility for psychological services. The level of rebate will depend on your level of cover.
Standard Consultation (Clinical and Coaching)

All clients are required to pay the full fee at the time of their visit. BPay and Credit Card options are available. Eligible Medicare rebates can be processed at the time of payment.
